Harmony When the principle of unity in fashion design is applied well, a garment or fashionaccessory should look good overall. 

It should look as though it goes together, and it should look as though all the design elements are contributing to make aharmonious whole

It is difficult to achieve unity without harmony. 

Harmony is accomplished by the repetition of a particular design element, such as color, shape, texture.

Unity and harmony are achieved through the use of repetition in the colors and the materials used.
